FM RADIO

FM RADIO is a lightweight Android app designed to let you listen to FM radio content with a simple interface. It provides quick access to stations and includes features like station search, stable playback, and regular updates (per the official site description).

Some apps labeled “FM Radio” are actually internet radio streaming apps. For example, Radio FM explicitly notes it “does not work without internet” and requires an active internet/Wi‑Fi connection. If you specifically need over-the-air (OTA) radio using a phone’s FM chip, that depends on your device and the specific FM radio app build; many streaming-based apps will still require internet.

According to the official site content, key features include: listening to live stations, high-quality audio streaming, a fast/simple UI, quick station access, station search, low battery and data usage, stable performance, broad Android device support, and regular updates/improvements.

The official site says you can listen to a variety of content such as music across genres, local and international news, and entertainment/culture programming.

Yes. The official site states it “works on most Android devices.” Actual compatibility can still vary by device model, Android version, and (for true OTA FM) whether the phone has an enabled FM chipset.

Not necessarily. The sources mention multiple similarly named products: (1) Motorola FM Radio, which is designed for Motorola phones with an enabled FM chipset and Android 6.0+ and may use a wired headset/dongle as an antenna; and (2) Radio FM, which is positioned as an internet radio/podcast app with large station catalogs. FM RADIO (as described on the official site snippet) emphasizes a simple streaming-style experience and should not be assumed to be identical to those other apps.

For streaming-based radio apps, headphones are not required (you can typically use the phone speaker or Bluetooth). However, for true over-the-air FM apps like Motorola FM Radio, the sources note that connecting a wired headset or a dongle can be needed to act as the FM antenna for best performance.
